Upper Limb Orthotics
Many different health conditions can lead to restriction in the ability of a person to use their fingers, hand, arm, and shoulder. Whether it be caused by a stroke, MS, ALS, some form of partial paralysis or a traumatic accident, patients living with limited use of their upper extremities can have significant pain, limits to what they can accomplish in their daily lives and often secondary injuries caused from attempting to conduct activities without proper support or bracing.
Every week, the team at Prosthetic & Orthotic Associates works diligently with patients who benefit greatly from the use of a variety of different upper limb extremity orthotics. The clinical and fabrication team at POA produces custom-made orthosis from a wide variety of materials to provide a solution that supports, strengthens and/or stabilizes a patient in a manner that is specific to each patient’s needs and clinical condition.
