Our team of orthotists play a crucial role in improving the lives of these babies by providing cranial remolding treatment. Through custom-made helmets, orthotists help gently shape and guide the baby's head towards a more symmetrical form, promoting healthy growth and development. If you are not aware, New York has not updated costs to cover prosthetic and orthotic devices since 1987!! This is when minimum wage was less than $4/hour! Our team joined other providers and went to the capitol building in Albany, NY. We are demanding better care for our patients through budget improvements. We spoke with our local legislators on why this is such a need for our community. YOU CAN HELP There is a bill just sitting and waiting that will easily fix this problem. Contact your assemblyman or senator. Tell them to support the Medicaid Parity Bill, S03468/A03408. This will give our patients better care, access to newer technology, and keep expert medical professionals in our community.
