Macy Oteri
MSPO, L/CPO
Clinical Specialist
Macy grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey and pursued a bachelor’s degree in exercise science at the University of Delaware (UD). While attending UD, she worked as a research assistant in the Delaware Limb Loss Studies Lab under Dr. Jaclyn “Megan” Sions. Macy assisted in data collections and data analysis for the monthly multi-disciplinary Amputee Clinic and contributed to national conference presentations. This research experience and mentorship under Dr. Sions sparked Macy’s interest in orthotics and prosthetics.
She attended Eastern Michigan University for her Master’s of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics. She started her career working in clinics in South Jersey/Philadelphia. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, therapy clinics, nursing facilities, and in home care. These experiences have only strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Macy’s approach is rooted in a genuine desire to understand each patient’s unique goals and challenges. She believes that by truly listening and connecting with those she serves, she can help them achieve their best possible outcomes. She has experience with all levels of orthotic/prosthetic devices and has a passionate interest in upper limb prosthetics.
Outside of work, Macy enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves to garden, hike, ski, rollerblade, and be outdoors.
